Each Tour includes:
- A Professional City-Certified History Guide and Beer Expert
- Craft Beer, Wine, or Cider included at each of three Pubs
- At least one sharable appitizer- maybe more!
- A tour through the Historic French Quarter
- Education, Enlightenment, and Entertainment!
What to know before the tour:
- Wear comfortable shoes
- Don't "Pre-game" before the Tour- Intoxicated guests will have to be rescheduled
- Please remember to tip your Guide- a Standard Gratuity is 20%- they need beer money!
- Tours go regardless of heat, rain, or cold (unless the weather is considered potentially dangerous) so be prepared
- East Bay Garage is the closest Parking Garage at 25 Prioleau St, Charleston, SC 29401
- Try to arrive having eaten before the tour
- All guests need to be at least 21 years of age.
- Unfortunately, no children or pets can accompany us except certified service dogs (or miniature horses).
Just the FAQ's
These are the most frequently asked questions that we get before or during a Tour.
- Can we drink whatever we want? Oh hell no. We're on a budget y'all! But you can choose whatever you like in our drink budget which generally includes all beer, cider, and wine- which work well within the constructs and timing of the tours.
- What if I'm allergic to something? We understand. There hasn't been a tour yet that we can't accomodate. Just let us know before the tour starts- and we do ask!
- Will we get drunk!? That is NOT the goal. We learn history and pub culture laughing over pints. If you have a low tolerance for alcohol there are plenty of low or no alcohol options.
- Can I choose an enhanced beverage instead of alcohol? Whatever dude. As long as it's in the budget. It is an available option at some of the pubs currently.
- How much walking is there? Actually not much. Generally there is only about 10-15 minutes of walking total over the 3-hour tour. The Guide will often adjust the routing to account for pleasant/difficult weather, mobility issues, or early/late starts.
- Can we choose the food? Unfortunately no. Select pubs offer our groups food "on the house" and it is pre-determined. However, we can adjust within reason for food sensitivities.
- Is the tour always the same? Not at all- no scripts here! Our professionally-trained Guides will always adapt the experience to suit the group. No two tours are ever alike! We are just that good.
